A code development committee will review comments on proposed changes and take one of the following actions:

  • recommend that the proposed change is approved as originally proposed,
  • make editorial changes that do not alter the technical content and recommend for approval,
  • revise the change and recommend it for approval, if, in the view of the code development committee, the action would not result in substantial adverse reaction from the public,
  • withdraw the change, but consider it for possible re-submission in revised form in a future public review, or
  • withdraw the change.
